__Concept__:

The capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor is given by:

\(C = \frac{{\epsilon A}}{d}\)

Where ϵ is the dielectric constant

A is the area of the cross-section of the plates

d is the distance between the plates

__Observation__:

- Since the capacitance is directly proportional to the area of the dielectric medium, in order to cover a large area of a dielectric medium, the capacitance should be very high.
- Capacitance is inversely proportional to the distance between the plates, i.e. less the distance, more will be the capacitance.
