Maria graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in 2009 and began her accounting career as an auditor at a Big 4 accounting firm. She then moved to a mid-tier practice where she looked after a portfolio of SME clients, providing accounting and tax advice.
Maria obtained her Chartered Accounting qualification in 2013 and spent the following 8 years working at large corporates in the UK and Australia. She has experience in energy, property, retail, media and not-for-profit sectors.
Maria returned to Auckland in 2021 and is enjoying using her skills to help SME owners navigate the accounting and tax world. She’s passionate about getting to know her clients and their business in order to provide tailored jargon free advice.
When she’s not working Maria loves spending time with her family and enjoys hiking, crafts and yoga.
